Known issues

• DPF clogging and forced regeneration cycles causing limp-mode and engine management light; often requires DPF cleaning or replacement (€800–€1,500)
• Electrical water ingress in rear light clusters and door handles causing intermittent failures and coding errors
• High-pressure fuel pump failure on 2.0d engine; symptoms include rough idling, loss of power, and starting difficulties (€600–€1,000 to replace)
• Turbocharger boost pressure fluctuations and variable valve timing solenoid faults, resulting in reduced power and increased emissions
• Coolant hose degradation and small weeps around water pump; can lead to overheating if not caught early
• Transmission software glitches causing shift hesitation or torque converter lockup issues on ZF 8-speed auto (some cases resolved by software update)

Good for

• Responsive turbodiesel performance and respectable fuel economy (40–45 mpg real-world on mixed driving)
• Comfortable ride, good visibility, and practical cargo space for family use
• Strong residual value relative to petrol SUVs in 2016 cohort
• Excellent winter grip and traction control; handles snow and poor road conditions well
