Known issues

• Battery degradation and reduced electric range after 3-5 years; BMW reports 2-3% annual capacity loss but real-world experience shows higher rates under aggressive driving
• Hybrid transmission software glitches causing transmission hesitation or lurching during low-speed electric-to-petrol transitions
• High-voltage electrical faults in the charging system and DC-DC converter; common cause of limp-mode activation
• Turbo petrol engine carbon build-up on direct injection at high mileage, particularly when frequently operating in petrol mode; can cause rough idle and power loss
