Known issues

• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) clogging and regeneration issues, particularly on low-mileage/urban driven examples; expensive replacement €1,200–€1,800
• Timing chain tensioner wear causing rattling on cold start; can lead to catastrophic engine damage if ignored (€2,500–€4,000 repair)
• Diesel injector carbon build-up causing rough idle, cold start difficulty, and limp-mode activation; cleaning or replacement €600–€1,200 per injector
• AdBlue system faults and sensor malfunctions; limp mode or refusal to start if not addressed (€400–€800)
• Electrical gremlins including infotainment glitches, comfort module failures, and phantom warning lights; diagnosis can be expensive
• Turbocharger boost pressure issues and variable geometry turbo (VGT) stiction; repair €1,500–€2,500
