Known issues

• Carbon build-up on direct injection petrol engines (B48 and B48A1) causing rough idle and hesitation between 1,500–2,500 rpm; requires fuel system cleaning (€400–800)
• Turbocharger bearing wear and oil starvation, particularly under sustained high revs; failure results in loss of boost and engine damage (€2,500–3,500 repair)
• Fuel pump module failure in petrol models; symptoms include difficulty starting, stalling, or complete no-start condition (€800–1,200)
• Water ingress into LED headlight assemblies causing internal condensation and electrical shorts; common around door seals (€1,200–2,000 per assembly)
• Transmission torque converter shudder on low-speed acceleration in 8-speed automatic ZF units; requires software update or internal servicing (€1,500–2,500)
• N47 timing chain tensioner wear (if applicable to regional variant); noise on cold start or at idle; can lead to chain rattle and catastrophic engine failure if ignored (€3,000–5,000)
