Known issues

• Battery capacity degradation (typically 15-20% loss by 100,000 km), reducing electric range and forcing reliance on combustion engine
• High-voltage battery management system faults causing loss of EV mode and warning lights (cost €2,500–€4,500 to diagnose/repair)
• Transmission judder and hesitation during petrol-electric handover at low speeds and during parking manoeuvres
• Water ingress into tailgate electronics and rear light clusters leading to electrical gremlins and tailgate operation failure
• Cooling system leaks from plastic connectors on the electric motor cooling loop, risking thermal management failure
• 12V auxiliary battery discharge issues when vehicle is parked, often due to faulty DC-DC converter

Good for

• Low company-car tax and VED when new (crucial for original buyers; much less relevant for used buyers)
• Strong electric-only performance up to 50 km range on flat, warm conditions (real-world 35–45 km)
• Refined petrol engine (2.0L turbo) with smooth automatic transmission under normal driving
• Acceptable motorway fuel economy (6.5–7.5 L/100 km) if petrol engine is already warm and efficient
