• Timing chain tensioner wear on B48 petrol engine (1.5L turbo) – premature noise and potential stretch in some examples
• Direct injection carbon build-up causing rough idle and reduced performance on lower-octane fuel
• ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox occasional torque converter shudder during low-speed acceleration
• Electrical water pump failure (electric pump integrated into cooling system) – costly replacement at €600–€900
• Infotainment system software glitches and occasional screen freezing (iDrive 8)
• High-pressure fuel pump wear on turbocharged variants – symptoms include difficult cold starts
