Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging and regeneration problems, particularly on low-mileage or urban-driven examples; expensive cleaning or replacement (€600–€1,200)
• EGR valve carbon build-up causing rough idle, reduced power, and limp-mode; common around 80,000–120,000 km
• Diesel injector wear and leakage; loss of power, rough running, and increased fuel consumption
• AdBlue heater element failure (if AdBlue-equipped variant), leading to limp mode and no-start conditions
• Timing chain tensioner wear; premature noise and risk of chain slack on higher-mileage examples
• Fuel pump module seal degradation; contaminated fuel and potential fuel starvation
