Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) regeneration issues if driven primarily on short urban journeys; can cause limp mode and expensive forced regeneration
• SCR catalytic converter degradation and AdBlue system faults, particularly if AdBlue quality is poor or tank left empty
• Turbocharger carbon build-up on direct-injection diesel engines under extended low-load driving; may require carbon cleaning
• Electrical gremlins with infotainment systems and connectivity modules; software updates sometimes required
• Gearbox shudder or hesitation on low-speed manoeuvres (if fitted with DSG automatic)
• Coolant leak from heater core or expansion tank seals on earlier production batches
