Known issues

• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) clogging on low-mileage or urban driving; forced regeneration cycles cause increased fuel consumption and temperature stress
• EGR valve carbon buildup leading to rough idling, reduced power, and potential limp-mode activation on high-mileage examples
• Fuel injector deposits and occasional injector replacement required at 80k–120k miles, especially if fuel quality is poor
• Turbocharger bearing wear and occasional wastegate sticking on older examples; less common on 2025 but monitor boost pressure variance
• Dual-mass flywheel wear causing vibration and rattle on overrun; replacement is expensive (€800–1200) but not yet routine on 2025 models
• DSG 7-speed gearbox shudder during low-speed manoeuvres or gear changes; software updates often resolve but transmission fluid changes recommended every 40k miles
