Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging and regeneration failures, particularly if driven mainly short journeys; can cost €800–€1,500 to clean or replace
• SCR system and AdBlue heater faults causing MIL illumination and reduced power mode; NOx sensor degradation
• EGR valve carbon buildup leading to rough idle and limp mode; more prevalent in higher-mileage examples
• Turbocharger bearing wear and wastegate sticking, especially on vehicles with irregular oil changes
• DSG7 gearbox judder on low-speed manoeuvres and occasional hesitation during gear changes
• Water ingress into electrical modules and connectors, causing intermittent fault codes
